A Prayer For When You Need Reminding God Is Still With You

I found this prayer on YouVersion and I have not stopped praying it.

What I love about it is one word: today. It does not ask God to fix a specific situation or answer a specific question. It just asks Him to remind me, today, that He is with me. That makes it evergreen. I can pray it on a calm Tuesday and I can pray it on a day when everything is falling apart, and it fits both.

Here is the prayer.

"God, thank you for being my constant source of strength and peace. The fact that you are with me at all times gives me joy and fills me with hope. Today, please remind me that you are with me no matter what I face. Help me to remember that you are near and you are in control. Every battle I face has already been won in Jesus's name. Amen. Amen indeed!"

What gets me every time is that line about the battle already being won. Not that it will be won. Not that I have a fighting chance. Already won. That changes how I walk into whatever today holds. I am not praying for an outcome I have not seen. I am praying from the confidence that the outcome is already settled in Jesus's name.

I do not think I need a new prayer every time I am anxious. I think I need one prayer I trust enough to pray on repeat. This is that one for me right now. God as my strength. God as my peace. God as the reminder I need, today, that He is near and in control no matter what I am facing.
