On December 23, 1954, surgeon Dr. Joseph Murray transplanted a kidney from Ronald Herrick into his identical twin brother Richard at Peter Bent Brigham Hospital in Boston. This Month We Are Talking About

National Minority Donor Awareness Month

Distrust of the medical system in Black and Brown communities did not come from nowhere, and neither did the gap between who is waiting on a transplant list and who is registered to give. This month is about closing that gap with real information, not guilt.

People of color make up over half the U.S. transplant waiting list

Psoriasis Awareness Month

Psoriasis is not dry skin and it was never just a skin thing. It is an autoimmune condition that shows up on the outside and gets dismissed because of it. This month is about treating skin like it deserves more than a shrug and a steroid cream.

Roughly 8 million Americans live with psoriasis

National Black Business Month

Founded in 2004 by John William Templeton and Frederick E. Jordan Sr. to redirect real spending toward Black-owned businesses, not just hashtags for a month. If you have been sitting on expertise you could be charging for, August is your sign to stop sitting on it.

3.12 million Black-owned businesses generate $133.7B a year
