A Prayer for Forgiveness

God, thank You for the forgiveness that is refreshed every day. I know I don't deserve Your forgiveness, but I am so thankful for it because You have forgiven me. I want to forgive myself, and I want to forgive others. I know now that I don't have to forgive out of my own capacity. I can take the forgiveness You so generously give me and offer it to others when they do things that hurt or harm me. Help me remember Your generous gift of forgiveness every day as I release the anger, resentment, and bitterness I carry toward anyone who has wronged or hurt me. In Jesus' name, Amen. Amen indeed!
