Strength for the Transition. I Woke Up Free.
Strength for the First Day”
Scripture: Joshua 1:9 “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
Today I woke up feeling free. Not because everything is perfect, but because I’m stepping into a new chapter with God. There’s a transition happening in my life, and even though I don’t know every detail yet, I feel peace. Real peace and real joy. I feel like something new has begun, and God is inviting me to walk into it with Him.
I’ve read Joshua 1:9 before, but today it felt different. Today it felt personal. Today it felt like God was speaking directly to me as a reminder: “I’m with you. You’re not stepping into this alone.”
These words were spoken by God Himself to Joshua after Moses died. Joshua was stepping into a role he didn’t ask for, facing a future he couldn’t predict, carrying a responsibility that felt bigger than him. And yet God didn’t give him a map. He gave him a promise.
I don’t have a nation to lead, but this transition feels big to me. It feels unknown. It feels like standing at the edge of something I’ve never seen before. And still, God says the same thing to me that He said to Joshua: “Be strong. Be courageous. I am with you wherever you go.”
So today, I took care of myself. I took care of my home. I moved my body. I breathed. I prayed. I listened. And I’m choosing to believe that even without a full plan, I’m being led, not by a cloud or fire, but by the Holy Spirit guiding me step by step.
Every day from here is unknown, but every day from here is covered.
And I’m grateful. I’m ready. I’m not walking alone.
